No artificial colours or sweeteners, just natural pure flavours such as Strawberry Yoghurt, Black Cherry Yoghurt, Orange & Banana, Forest Fruits (with Guarana) and Banoffee (like the famous banana and toffee pie, but the gel comes with Guarana). "What the heck is guarana?", you ask. Guarana is a caffeine-containing extract, but unlike coffee or other caffeine supplements it's gentle on your stomach. Torq Energy drink mix maintains the philosophy of Torq Nutrition, that is to say you won't find any artificial ingredients, flavourings, sweeteners or preservatives. Like the Gels, Torq Energy contains the same 2:1 Maltodextrin:Fructose ratio for optimal carbohydrate release. Also included are five (5) electrolytes. Easy on the stomach, full flavour on the palate including Natural Pink Grapefruit, Natural Lime & Lemon, Natural Orange, Natural Lemon and Natural Vanilla Pod. There is also the Organic variety which contains no electrolytes or flavour and is perfect for Carb Loading before that big event. Recovery contains Whey Protein, D-Ribose, HMB ad L-Glutamine to help with growth and repair.

D-Ribose is a simple sugar (a monosaccharide) that aids metabolism. 

HMB (Beta-hydroxy-Beta-methylbutyrate) is a naturally-occuring metabolite synthesized in the human body to block the breakdown of muscle, thus preserving muscle mass.

L-Glutamine is an amino acid the body manufactures itself and is used by the brain, intestines, kidneys, lungs and immune system. However, during hard exercise the body will break down muscle tissue to supply L-Glutamine. Supplementary supplies of this amino acid given immediately after exercise helps prevent muscle depletion and boosts the immune system.

Pure L-Glutamine, Carnitine and Ribose!

Torq also offers L-Glutamine, Carnitine and Ribose on its own, so you may add them to your favourite post-ride snacks or drinks. Carnitine increases fat burning, prolongs endurance and increases aerobic power. L-Carnitine is formed in the body from several amino-acids and can be found in meat (*particularly red meat) and dairy products. Ribose has been found to not only enhance recovery, but also may be useful as therapy for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as M.E., Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Encephalopathy).
