Fitting
At Sky Blue bikes we provide a fit guarantee. We are so confident in providing a correct fit, that if we don’t get it right we will change over the required parts at our own cost. Elissa's extensive training and experience in both physiology and bikes goes hand-in-hand with getting your correct fit, she has more than 18 years of experience fitting all levels of cyclists. By asking specific questions and assessing you on the bike and correcting your bicycle posture as she's fitting you, Elissa will dial in your optimum ride.
Whether opting for a Standard Fitting or a Comprehensive Fitting, riders being fitted should bring their riding kit with them to the fitting – including shoes, riding attire and bike.
Standard Fitting
Lasting about 90 minutes, the Standard Fitting covers the essentials of seat height, fore-aft saddle positioning, as well as stem and handlebar adjustments. In addition to cockpit corrections, posture education and basic pedalling techniques are included.

Comprehensive Fitting
Extensive, intensive and thorough, the Comprehensive Fitting takes about three hours on average, of which one hour is spent on musculoskeletal function alone. Assessing the rider's function on the bike is paramount, including examining the cycling-related core. The body's flexibility, strengths and weaknesses are evaluated from which adjustments can be made to a rider's positioning for correct function on the bike.
Function is the key to good, non-injurious riding. Good function is derived from finding a safe position for all the body's joints and reducing their load, optimising breathing. A good position maximises handling and control of the bike.
In addition, a rider's full history is taken into account, including current and past injuries. The rider's goals and targets are identified and appropriate recommendations made to aid the rider in achieving those ambitions. A full report detailing the fitter's findings is issued to the rider.
